American Football Monthly selected its 2007 Schutt College Football Coaches of the Year: Ron Zook - Illinois (FBS), Mark Farley - Northern Iowa (FCS), David Dean - Valdosta State (Division II), Lance Leipold - Wisconsin- Whitewater (Division III), Dale Carlson - Ohio Dominican (NAIA), and Steven Campbell - Mississippi Gulf Coast CC (Junior College)...

Billy Jack Murphy, 87, famed head coach and director of athletics for over 30 years at Memphis (formerly Memphis State), and standout football student-athlete at Mississippi State, died last Thursday in Memphis, Tenn.

Learfield Sports and ISP Sports have made a joint acquisition of Action Sports Media.
