Titans/Packers Game Notes

100TH CONSECUTIVE SELLOUT: The game is the 100th consecutive sellout at LP Field (including preseason, regular season and playoff games) since the stadium opened in 1999.

SECOND TIME AT LP FIELD: The Titans hosted the Packers in a regular season game for the second time at LP Field.

TURNOVER RATIO: The Titans recorded their seventh consecutive game with an even or positive turnover ratio.

MOVING UP THE LIST: K Rob Bironas moved past Toni Fritsch (392) into fifth place on the team’s all-time scoring list.

IRON MAN BULLUCK: LB Keith Bulluck started his 105th consecutive game, the longest active streak of any Titans player.

UNDEFEATED TITANS: Sunday’s victory gave the Titans an 8-0 record for the first time in franchise history.

11 AND COUNTING: Sunday’s victory gave the Titans an NFL-leading 11 consecutive regular season victories dating back to last season, which would tie for the longest streak in team history.

SIX STRAIGHT AT HOME: Sunday’s victory gave the Titans six consecutive home wins.
SERIES LEAD: Sunday’s victory gave the Titans an all-time record of 6-4 against the Packers, including wins in three consecutive games.

ANOTHER WIN FOR FISHER: Sunday’s victory improved Jeff Fisher’s career record as head coach (1995-08) to 128-104.

MOVING UP THE CHARTS: Sunday’s victory moved Jeff Fisher ahead of Mike Ditka (127 career wins) for 22nd place in NFL history in career wins by a head coach.

STARTING SUCCESS: Sunday’s victory improved Kerry Collins’ regular season record as a starting quarterback to 74-82.

ANOTHER FOURTH DOWN STOP: In the first quarter, the Packers faced a fourth-and-one from the Tennessee 44-yard line. Aaron Rodgers attempted a pass to tight end Jermichael Finley that fell incomplete, giving the Titans possession of the ball. The Titans marched down the field and capitalized on a 25-yard field goal to take a 6-0 lead. iIn Tennessee’s previous game against the Colts, the Titans defense made two key fourth down stops.

JOHNSON’S LONG RECEPTION LEADS TO SCORE: On the Titans’ first offensive series of the game, rookie running back Chris Johnson took a screen pass from Kerry Collins and raced 25 yards for his longest reception of the season. It led to a 31-yard field goal by Rob Bironas.
HOPE’S FIRST SACK: In ;the first quarter, Titans safety Chris Hope recorded his first career sack, dropping Aaron Rodgers for no gain.

SACKLESS STREAK COMES TO AN END: When the Packers sacked Kerry Collins in the third quarter, it ended a streak of five games the Titans offensive line did not allow a sack. The most recent previous sack they allowed was at Cincinnati in Week 2.
HOPE RECORDS THIRD INTERCEPTION IN SIX DAYS: In the third quarter, safety Chris Hope intercepted an Aaron Rodgers pass that was intended for Greg Jennings in the end zone. Hope, who had two interceptions in the previous week’s Monday night contest against the Colts, recorded his third interception in six days. He has 14 career interceptions.

FORD NOTCHES FIRST SACK, CAUSES FUMBLE: On a third-down play in the third quarter, defensive end Jacob Ford recorded his first career sack, taking down Aaron Rodgers for a 14-yard loss. On the play, Ford caused a fumble, which was recovered by Stephen Tulloch for a first-and-10 at the Green Bay 17. The Titans kicked a field goal on the ensuing possession to give them a 16-10 lead. Ford later in the game recorded his second sack, dropping Rodgers for an eight-yard loss.
